PRIVACY POLICY

1. The short version

GameFeed is built by developers, for developers. We only collect the data we need to run the service, we don't sell your personal information, and you can delete your account at any time.

2. What we collect

• Account info: email, display name, handle, avatar, and any profile fields you fill in (bio, links, NSFW preference, etc.).
• Auth identifiers: if you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email, and profile picture from Google.
• Content: posts, comments, likes, follows, games, devlogs, press kits, and related media you upload.
• Billing data: if you subscribe, Stripe processes your payment. We store a Stripe customer ID and subscription status — never your card number.
• Operational data: server logs, IP address, user-agent, and basic analytics events used to debug and improve the service.
• Cookies: we use a small number of cookies for authentication sessions and preferences. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

3. How we use it

• To run the feed, profiles, games, notifications, and other features you interact with.
• To authenticate you and keep your account secure.
• To send transactional email (account, billing, notifications you opt into).
• To process payments and manage subscriptions through Stripe.
• To detect abuse, spam, and content that violates our Terms.
• To improve the product based on aggregate usage.

4. Sharing

We share data only with service providers that help us run GameFeed:

• Stripe — payment processing and subscription management.
• Google — optional sign-in.
• Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage.
• Cloudflare — content delivery and edge runtime.
• Email provider — transactional email delivery.

We do not sell your personal information. We may share data when legally required (subpoena, court order, lawful request) or to protect the rights and safety of users.

5. Public vs private

Profiles, posts, comments, likes, follows, and games on GameFeed are public by default — that's the point of a public feed. Anything you upload may be viewed by other users and indexed by search engines.

Settings like your email address, NSFW preference, age confirmation, and marketing consent are private and visible only to you and our servers.

6. Email and marketing

We send transactional email for account events (sign-in, password reset, billing) and feature notifications you enable. Marketing email is opt-in only. Every marketing email includes a one-click unsubscribe link, and you can change your preferences in account settings.

7. Data retention & deletion

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account from the settings page at any time — when you do, we remove your profile, posts, comments, and uploaded media. Some data may persist for a limited period in backups, in our payment processor's records (Stripe), or where required by law.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, or to object to certain processing. You can exercise most of these directly from account settings. For anything else, contact us.

9. Security

We use industry-standard practices including TLS encryption in transit, row-level security on our database, scoped access tokens, and signed URLs for stored media. No service can guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your data and respond promptly to incidents.

10. Children

GameFeed is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with data, please contact us so we can remove it.

11. Changes

We may update this policy. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or via the site before the changes take effect.
